I had virus and had to clean things out,,,,,,,

I reinstalled Vista, yea I know but thats what I got. I have things appearing that I didn't have before and once I sort thru them they seem to be better so maybe I have been screwed up from the get go of days past.

This appeared this morning ,in my "Pictures" tab and folders with pics, the pics now have a double white chevron on a blue background with chevrons pointing to the right & is located in the lower left corner of the image.I can attach to an e mail and the chevrons don't make the trip or they don't appear when the image is opened.

What is this and how do I get rid of it?

Do you use Norton as protection or Norton Ghost?

I can't explain that one , but the blue boxes with white chevrons are indicators of Auto back up

Look in Norton settings and under Quick Control and uncheck the box for 'Backup Status Indicators'
