I looked on B&H Photo's site and couldn't order the lens..something bout it being available for pre-order. I thought this lens was released and a ton of people have it already. >>

They have sold out a few times already, that is why you can pre-order.

Or just place an order w/ Adorama and they'll charge you when they ship it out. Adorama provides great service as well. I've ordered from both and if/when an item I want is not in stock, then I just buy from Adorama because I can order and forget it. I don't have to play the website-refresh game everyday with B&H.

I had placed the order 2 weeks ago when the lens was still "in stock" at B&H but it never came home; so I'm just now seeing the fact it says pre-order available. I'm gonna call them..hisss.

Might have been recalled to address AF issues. There have been quite a few problems reported with the lens in Canon mount (seems to be okay in Nikon mount).

Take a look at the rokokinon 85mm 1.4. It might make you forget the Sigma, and save you a ton of money. The images on FM are amazing considering what it costs.

These are from Canon users^^^^

Most users seem to be very happy.

So far there are many more happy users than those who have had problems. I guess that it why it is sold out everywhere so quickly considering that it keeps up with the L (and in some ways is better) at less than 1/2 the cost.

Thanks for the feedback which is very much appreciated.

BTW, I'm sure you know, but if you place a b/order with Adorama and you find it elsewhere before we get the item in, provided it hasn't already shipped you can just drop me an email with your order number and I'll ensure that it's cancelled for you.
