Basic Colour-Correction with Curves

I thought I'd show a powerful tool that can get you results in no time, the RGB Curves tool.

I'm just going to play with some shots I took in Sinai, and I'll do a quick process in Premiere CS5. I was trying to achieve a nice warm cinematic look.
Here's the unprocessed shot:

To start, open up RGB Curves and apply to the clip:

Apply a little contrast by creating a 2 point S-Curve. I wanted to keep some detail in the shadows:

I then went on to apply S-Curves to the RGB components. Usually making the red most prominent, and green only a slight curve. I usually do a high cut on the blue. Play till happy.

I copied the curves and applied to another shot:

I just wanted to show curves is a very quick and useful tool to get you towards the look you're after :)
