I went out this afternoon to shoot some pictures with my new (to me) 70-200 F/4 L lens. While I was at it, thought I would give some HDR a try.

Both images were taken at Springbank Park in London, Ontario on November 3, 2010. The images comprised of 3 images each at -2, 0 and +2. HDR images created in Photomatrix 3.0.

C&C always welcome...
Al

Hey, how's it going?

I really like it at Springbank, but was really surprised by the amount of poop in the grass as I was walking back to the van! I was walking across from the dam area back towards the upper road trying to frame a photo of the empty pool and playground equipment. The area was also full of geese that had been practicing their formation flying and were taking a break. I am about half way across the grass when I noticed all the poop. You couldn't even take a step without stepping in it! This probably explains why the other folks I saw were walking or running along the roads or paths.

Al

Aye, the geese are bad there on the grass areas along the river from the dam east to just about along the fence where the zoo is and have been getting worse every year. Oddly enough, there's very few geese that land inside the zoo, they just stay outside the fences. Springbank is a beautiful park, especially in the summer and fall, but all the crap from the geese ruins it.

Framing is nice in the first. Muted colors of fall in its later days.
The sky seems a little dark to me.

I would crop the right side of the first one a little. I would also look to lighten the sky.
