Here on Kauai and got a little more than I bargained for rain wise. The camera works fine and by and large I've used it in light rain for instances and never had issue. However, it appears the joystick got a bit of rain in it as it isn't controlling reliably to the right direction. Wondering if other adventurous people here have encountered this and if it started working again after drying out. I figure it will but would like to know if anyone has any tricks.

Yes,

I have had this happen on my 20D and my 5DMkII

Power it off. remove batteries. let it dry. Don't use a hairdryer as that may push the water deeper into the camera and make it harder to dry.

After about a day it may be ok. Mine were. Stupid vertical and accurate rain drizzle.

After about 6 hours it worked correctly for the first time then fell back into the upper half not working. I tried this morning again and it appears to be working again but I am letting it sit some more just in case.

Happened once with my 5Dii also. The stick wouldn't go left... but after a night off to dry it never happened again (even during shoots that had more exposure to rain).
