The predicted large swell was a bust where I went, the time an location is what its all about and I missed it . The warm temperature brought everyone out to the beach and parking was difficult to find. There were occasional 5 fts, which isn't close to the predicted 9ft. Fortunately the surf season is just getting started.

Here's some shots from today, nothing special.

Complete bust and way overhyped.:(:(
As my buddies and I always say, the swell forecasting sites have a vested interest in hyping swells to benefit their site's traffic (which their advertisers LOVE)...

As for the swell, I was hoping the buoys would show a slight shift with more west swell, but it stayed at 300. Way too much north, kinda missed all of SoCal and all we saw was wrap. I was at LJ reefs all day and didn't see anything bigger than 2ft overhead.... Looking forward to the winter when we start seeing more west-northwest swells. :D:D

Nice shots, thanks for sharing.
