I agree it's not a particularly interesting shot, but it is a beautiful building and I managed to get the perspective correct without a TS lens :P

Lighting is good with dramatic shadows. Needs a little more contrast, and it looks slightly tilted to the left.

Who are you agreeing with that this is not an interesting shot? Is there a critic living in your head?

I've never seen this building and I think the image is excellent. The frame is filled nicely, good detail, and nice print tone. The 2 birds in the sky to the left work really well to add a little texture and provide the viewer with a nice reference to size.

I thought that I'd missed a page with the op's comments. Looks pretty good to me.

Not particularly interesting in the sense that it is a picture of a building (beautiful as it may be) taken in the morning, that's about it. Don't all of us have a critic living in our heads?

I like it quite a bit, but I also dig a lot of architecture shots. My wife thinks buildings are a waste of film/memory card space, but I love them.

Contrary to one of the comments earlier, I'd get rid of the birds. They just seem a little distracting to me.

Both very nice but I prefer the first. I'd clone the birds out though, but just my opinion... and that from someone who spends too much time taking pictures of birds!

The last one posted is cropped at the top a little tight, if you back it up a bit you'll get the full reflection of the building in the water.

I love the first short, great capture..the only thing thats bothering me is the huge tree on the lower left corner..other then that good composition.

I agree about the tree... do you have a chain saw?

I disagree. I think the tree adds some variety to the shot, breaking up the stark white of the building. Maybe in a different angle this would be more prominent...
