OK..first of all CONGRATS on a GREAT SHOT.
Second.. back on page 16 someone commented on how she (I think it was a woman) had never read 16 pages of ANY thread before...well it's now 24 pages and I am surprised at myself for reading every post...but this photo deserves it.
third..I have gotten a charge out of your progress...in the earlier posts you said you had very limited knowledge of photoshop skills and such, then much later - you offered some advice to the member who posted a few of his own pictures within your thread....I guess the class you spoke of taking must have paid off.

THAT IS A FINE PHOTO.

Thank you very much. Remember the old commercial: I can't believe I ate the whole thing. Well, I can't believe you read the whole thing. I am truly flattered.

a new fantastic 4 role? awesome timing!

Hey, why didn't I think of that. Maybe I'll get a shot at Jessica Alba. Not.
Thank you.

Mark, I would like to credit you for allowing me to try this shot and all. I entered my shot in a contest over at photocamel.com and won. I owe some credit to you for the great idea buddy. Keep up the good work.

SC, I deserve none of the credit. You executed your shot perfectly. Congrats on winning the contest.

Wow Fantastic photo, to repeat the comments of several others: I'm glad it was bumped up just to get the chance to see it.

Your daughter is quite beautiful and damned lucky she has this camera toting father willing to take pictures like this :p

Anyways I have little to contribute other than lavish praise so carry on...

This image reminds me of Berlin's "Take My Breath Away", but without Tom Cruise on a motorcycle.

What a stunning photograph. How much hair spray did she have to use to get her hair to stay like that?

OK Mark, this thread is two years old and I'm just now seeing it. That's how things work here in Oklahoma we're 2 years behind everyone else on everything! But I digress.

I'm going to have to read through the whole thread now just to see if you divulge how you did this!

1. Her hair is awesome.

2. That had to be amazing timing.

3. I can not wait til I get this good!

Tell me a 30D is capable of shots like this? It's just me that has to pull up to par. ;)

Hi Mark,

What a great shot of your little girl :) . Love the hair in the water... how many times did you make her do that until you got the "perfect shot"? :)

Do you have anyother photos of her... is she a good model?

Finally getting the hang of this...

Thanks again, all.
Yes, Lucy, a 30D can definitely do it.

Jo, we initially tried it in Florida while on vacation without great results.

When in Maui, maybe the combination of the air, etc, helped. It was a three shot burst at 1000, f2.8 with the 70-200 f2.8 IS.

I've posted other shots of her here and there, just not sure where.

No, she's not a good model in the model sense, though she almost always loves me taking pictures of her.

I think it's wonderful! I like the way the background is shimmering through! Think what you could do with colorful backgrounds!

As nice as this picture looks on screen I had the chance to see it printed large on Mark's Epson 4800 last night- The monitor doesn't do the image justice.

On the other hand all thru dinner his daughter didn't do that hair thingy move even once; the closest she came to it was passing me a diet Pepsi :)

I would imagine it would get pretty messy if she did it anywhere other than in a pool.

Nice picture, Mark. The water looks so real.

Cracker of a shot,( No 1) , I keep coming back and looking at it .
Only thing I'd change would be that rogue splash in the middle of her hair
but hey "thats water for you" Paul.
