Megan and Brian Engagement Session -Beautiful Sunset in San Diego

This was such a great engagement session. Driving to the location I knew the sunset was going to be intense, and after playing with the colors a little in post they really blew up. I played a little with OCF for the last few, would love to know what you think.

looks nice but I would bring the OCF closer to the camera.. to me the angle is just too harsh and also looks to be a bit high as it created some really wicked shadows and spilled onto the ground a lot.... try to get it at an even level straight on to them and a little closer to the camera.. can really make a huge difference and make it less obvious that there is a flash blasting them from the side

Thanks for the tip. I kinda wanted to have a bit of an intense effect to make it a bit more intense. I will try your advice next time for a smoother effect.

Last two, money shots... good work

I think it's time you invest in a gel for your flash and balance that color in 3,4, and 5! Also, in these photos, there is a lot of headroom. I'd think about composing in such a way that your subjects take up more of the frame, instead of cutting them off above the waist. Stunning otherwise!

Good point about the headroom. In most of these, I left it to show the skyline.

I also have gells for my flash, just didnt bring them. I was traveling light and left most of my flash stuff at home. It was sort of an afterthought to be honest.
