I don't know what else you can do in pp, maybe a tad more sharpening, other than that it is a great shot.

Nice Heron pic! It looked to be co-operative for you as well.
I agree that you don't have to spend the big bucks... I personally like the FPS and customization you get with some of the higher end bodies.

Trust me, I would love to have a higher end body and especially a nice fast long prime but I make due with what I have until I can afford what I want... And then I'll make due with that until I can get what I want haha... Yes, He co-operated very nicely, I was able to get quite close.

Really nicely done. GBHs are some of my favorite models to shoot; and you've done a nice job with this one! Very cooperative bird, too...they don't tend to like a person to get very close.
