Pixelmator is a bit-map image editing program for OS X. It is the fastest processing app available because it uses the gpu for virtually all of its manipulations. It does not have raw processing abilities but is very good as what it does. You can download it and try before you buy, but I think it's a great application, especially for the price.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Excellent program, and well worth $29. Just in case you don't pick it up at this price, it can almost always be purchased from Amazon for $35 - $40 instead of $60 if purchased directly from the Pixelmator website.

Does this software support Canon RAW images?

How does it compare to CS5?

Pixelmator can open any RAW file that is supported by Apple (iPhoto, Aperture), but you just get the standard image editing options - not the RAW conversion options that you have come to expect from other tools.

It doesn't compare to CS5. One is a $1,000 tool that has been in development for over 20 years. The other is a $60 tool that is on version 1.6.
