My daughter found a butterfly outside. Also, my first time shooting with a 7d. Thoughts?

The second I don't like so much for the same reason I like the first one; instead of seeing the eyes they are lost in shadow. The butterfly is also too centered in the second photo. 30D, 300D, Tokina 12-24mm, Tamron 28-75mm f2.8, 50mm f1.8, 100mm F2.0, Sigma 70-300mm APO macro, Tokina 400mm F5.6, CZ Jenna 135mm f3.5, 18-55mm,

Nov 06, 2010 08:48 | #6 Thanks!! She was wearing snow man pajama bottoms, so I was somewhat limited on angles and what not. I agree with you, afviper, I'm not a fan of centered subjects. But I felt that her being kind of at an angle in the background sort of detracted from that.

Everything is great about it from the butterfly actually staying there, to the big excited eyes of your beautiful daughter. I would try to sharpen her eye a tad more. Great capture.
