I was outside with my camera, when I heard a jet. Looked and this is what I saw.

What kind of jet is it?

They are about the same size in length and wingspan (give or take a couple of feet).

length - A model 168ft 4in, B model 191ft 8in
wingspan (both) - 160ft
height - 39ft

C-17
length - 174ft
wingspan - 169ft 8in
height - 55ft

While the B model 141 is longer I can put more cargo on the C-17. Due to the width I can rotate the pallets and fit 18 on the C-17 where I could only put 13 on the C-141B's

C-17s are definately cool.

You should try to go to an airshow and catch a demo...it's actaully pretty neat.

Wow, thanks guys. I was comparing it to a 141, because back in the early 70's, while a member of the 82d Abn Div, I made a few jumps from the 141.
