I just got my new 70-200 f/4 L from B&H today. there is no front lens cap, shouldn't it be included?

Lens look brand new as it should be, I bought the "USA" version. date code indicates that it was manufactured in Feb, 2005 in Canon's Utsunomiya factory. I emailed B&H yesterday about the missing front cap, no reply yet. BTW, I checked the box label, no mention of the front/rear cap either, only the ET-74 lens hood and LP1224 soft case are included. maybe it's an optional accessory? or QC problem!
