The misty fog makes that a pretty special shot - I think if you cropped out the large, black foreground it would be even more interesting - maybe even make a "crop pano" out of it with just the bright sky, silhouetted tree and back-lit fog. In any case, very nice!

not bad, but I think you would have been better off getting just the tree in the horizon if at all possible.

I see what you mean, there is perhaps too much of the black foreground...let me try that...thanks!

I would agree with the cropping suggestion I think if you crop so the horizon is on about the lower 3rd line it will look alot better.

Yea I did'nt think it took any thing away from the photo.

I like the photo as-is. It doesn't look like a solid black foreground to me, I can see the grassy hill with little flowers (ok, possibly weeds, it's not that clear) and I think it adds to the landscape.

Yea the grassy hill is not that clear, I agree it does add on to the transition from dark to light.
