Anyone know the answer to this one?
Being Canadian I want to try to work on the conversion and save some loons and toons.

Thanks for the help.

B&H is listing it at $3299.95 ... I would expect it to be the same at most legitimate retailers.

Here's a question, how can a reseller post prices when the unit
will not be out until the end of October?

I would imagine Canon has informed retailers what they will be paying for the camera.... They've already released images, specs and a suggested retail price to the public.

Nope. It will stay at MSRP for the first 30-60 days and then gradually drop off as the initial buying frenzy slows. Then in 6 months it will drop again. 1 year another drop.

Canon has moved to the MAP concept - minimum advertised price. Dealers, who get certain privileges for selling Canon stuff, would lose those privileges or the Canon line, for advertising below this price. The original concept of MSRP and street price (ie well below MSRP) does not apply any longer. See how B&H has the "email us for better price" on some items - it's to get around "advertising" their selling price. This "special" price only comes into play when the initial flurry is over and they think the can make more money by higher volume/lower price...
