Between fighting light pollution, swamp gas fogging my lens, and rogue alligators ( ), I got some high ISO time exposure shots from Cooper lake:

The last one is the clincher. Great stuff. What were your settings?

These were all at 2.8, ISO 2500 and around 45 seconds. Shot on 5D2 with a 16-35 at 16mm. So, pretty much wide open all the way around ;-)a

Nice. Did you have a fill flash on the tree?

Yes, sorry... forgot. Yes, I was using a blue LED flashlight for some, and then a 580 popped for a single shot on some of the others.

Isn't it nice to have clear air and skys to shoot in? My youngest daughter lives about 15 miles south of cooper lake. Nice catch on image #2

#2 and #4 are surreal, the rest of them are good as well. Lovely captures.

I like the last two, the next to last just has an overbright fg but the last is perfect.

2 & 4 for me, but that light in #2 looks like a bloody shooting star... which would be very cool! :) I assume it's an aircraft of some type?

That IS a shooting star! ;-)a Actually, it's a shooting star that has broken into two parts.

I'd seen a few throughout the night, but did not see this one until I opened it on the computer.
