Same camera that I've got. I'm new to the DSLR thing. To new to offer advice. But I like the squirrel pic the best of the three.

:D

The first one would look better with better bokeh, not sure what lens or aperture you were using but shooting wide open with a telephoto might produce some better bokeh. The second one is good, tough to get a good exposure with something in shade AND the sky in the pic. May want to set the cross off to one side, to make it more pleasing to the eye. The last one is good, those suckers are tricky to get a picture of...

Hi,

Just wondered if you knew how to share the pictured directly on here from Flickr, rather than as a link? If you do, ignore me :)
If not:

In Flickr, choose the picture. Click on "Share this"...choose "Grad the HTML/BBCode", select the size option in the drop down box. Make sure the button for BBCode is selected, then copy the code in the box and paste it directly here.

Again, if you already know, ignore me.

As for your pictures, I like the squirrel, but favourite is the flower. I just think it needs more bokeh, with either a larger aperture, or shot from further away with a longer lens to compress the DoF. Very nice, though, and sharp.

Cheers

the flower one seems to have a not so flattering background, it is rather distracting, either more DOF or different background would do,
the tombstone has a nice perspective but the sky are a bit blown out, i would like to see more details in the clouds.
the 3rd one with the squirrel is nice, more cropping on the squirrel would be better imo

Noob Lesson #1: Embed the pics in your post using the "Insert image" icon...most folks (myself included) don't want to be bothered with following an external link.

That doesn't work for Flickr anymore...the [IMG] tags are already in the code from Flickr.

Cheers

There it is...

That a 500 size one? You could go to the 640 sized one easily enough, or if it's landscape rather than portrait, the 1024 sized one is good for most screens now without having to scroll to see it all.

Cheers
