I dont know if im in the right place, mods move it if im not.

Im thinking of bringing my 7d, 17-55, and 24-105 for cleaning and calibration. Mostly for calibration. All of it are still under warranty. Will they charge me for calibrating the lens to the body? I know i have micro adjust but since its both zoom lens i thought ill just have them do it. Suggestions? Advise? Thoughts?

under warranty: drop off in-person and mailing back to you=no charge. thats my experience.

whatever is under warranty is free of charge from my understanding. I havent paid a penny so far :)

you can always call ahead to ask questions.

The center will charge for the cleaning and they will FEDEX your equipment at no charge.

I do not know what the charge will be for the calibrating.

I had focusing issues with my new 16-35 2.8 L mounted on my 5DmarkII (all under warranty for both) calibrated the lens to the body at no charge.

I hope this helps. Friendly staff, easy to work with, even-though I had to make several trips to the center to get resolution

Thats good to know! I would really just wanna take advantage of me still being under warranty. I wanted to do it soon as i am deployable any minute.

So i dont to bring any extra with me? They are not gonna ask to see any files i have that would show front or back focusing issue before they take it?

Did you have to bring anythong with you for the focusing issue? Like a file save in thumb drive then they open it and check it before approving your request/complain? Or u pretty much just walked in there, told them u got focusing issue then they take your stuff and say well fix it and mail it back to u?
