I hiked up towards the Hollywood sign yesterday to try to get some pictures of the cities from up there. None of my photos really turned out that well, so maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I shot on AV mode, did try a few pictures on M, but I'm not too good with full manual yet and the AV mode pictures came out looking better.

f/8, 30 seconds, 100 iso, 18mm, AV mode, auto WB, no flash, shot with a Rebel XS and a Quantaray 18-200

This is what I got after PP.

Personally, I think there is still a little too much negative space on the top for me. You could crop some of the sky out and have an even more dramatic panorama. Awesome shot though.

The first one is the best but might be better if it was cropped to remove some of the upper portions.
