I'm going to have to stop looking at your stuff, Jay. It is tiring being so jealous all the time! :)

Great shots again.
I'll have to visit NAS Whidbey hear in the Pacific Northwest someday to get a closer look at the Prowlers. Being only 50 miles away, the low frequency rumbling upon takeoff is heard here every few days.

Ahhhh...Jay....lol

Great shots mate - of course I'm a little biased towards the Eh bird...:)

I figured you would be... 14 Canadian birds showed up for a two-week stay.

nice to some some canadian cougars in your work, which by the way is amazing as always.

We were very happy to see them as well...and thank you!

Very nice, Jay! I especially like #s 5 & 6.

Thanks Boss...

Great work. I like the last one,it personalizes set.

Thanks. I like to include the men and women of the armed forces whenever possible.

Excellent work Jay. Wish I could have been there.

S.C.

Thanks. Hope you snag a slot in the spring.

Ok, so I'm not sure if it is impressive or uber-nerdy that you actually got prop blur on the under-wing stores (is that some of the electronics jamming gizmos?) I guess I'll go with impressive. LOL. Nice work as always Jay!

They are ECM pods and the wind-driven turbines are their power source. They apparently draw nothing from the airframe itself. I guess 110kts imparts quite the rotation given that the shutter speed was high enough to normally freeze a prop. Glad you like the images.

I'm exceedingly fortunate to be able to attend some of the thing I attend. My job is to do it justice and not screw the pooch!

These EA-6Bs are from your neck of the woods. If I were up your way, I'd be out hunting them as well! We don't see them down here very often.

Nice to see some color. All over the world we get wild paint schemes, yet in the US, all we get is dull, and duller grey.

No Kidding. Don't know why we can't have "Tiger Meet" colors on say the Viper or Hog demo teams. This should be a good year for Navy "Color Birds" given that it's the 100th anniversary of NavAir!

Its not like they would send the A-10 into battle with the blinged out GAU-8/A barrel
The Hog would be the perfect plane for a wacked out color demo scheme.

Except for the fact they always like to make a big deal by saying:

"This aircraft can be made combat ready in less than sixty minutes...blah, blah, blah..."

Nice pictures Jay, like the 18 smokin' the tires.

For Tim, so far I've seen half a dozen pictures of special CAG aircraft painted in WWII US Navy colors, watch for them in 2011. Full on paint schemes, not just tails.

Thanks Roger. There should be plenty of interesting NavAir activity this year. BTW, I hear things have improved at North Island...
