I live in the very center of Edinburgh and I love cityscape photography. Such a beautiful city - it's a photographer's haven. Wife and I moved here about 5 months ago from Raleigh NC for school, and we'll be here for at least 4 years so there will be plenty of photos of this wonderful city to come.

In order to comply with the rules, I will just post a new set of 8 every so often. Original resolution files can be seen on my Flickr. Here's the first 8, all taken within city limits:

Thanks! We did make a trip to Skye and Mull, but those photos didn't fit with the theme of the thread. Take a look on my Flickr - there's a few shots from the trip: only a few because the weather was horrid most of the time!

I visited Scotland 2 years ago and stayed in Edinburgh. I loved it there and want to come back to visit. These photos make me miss it even more!

A great variety of pictures. The artsy staircase would make a nice abstract pic to hang on your wall!

Did you have a tilt shift effect happening on the last pic with the Edinburgh castle in the BG?

Yes, I did. I'm using the TSE 24L II - in fact this particular set is comprised entirely of shots using the TSE along with the 85L. It's an effect that should be used sparingly, but it's just so difficult to resist sometimes because it's good fun!

I'm glad to see some are enjoying shots of my new home - I heard it was beautiful, but I never knew the extent. I'm honestly impressed each time I step outside my flat!
