Hi All,
I've been looking all over and need some help! A little background first: I'm a photographer, I have just started having shows/gallery nights(had 3 so far), selling on etsy and plan on doing some shoots for friends and family. I am looking for an application that I can use on my mac... and maybe my iphone that will help me keep an inventory of the photos I have printed, with the sizes, and quantity, with images of the photos, so I can easy sort through them, along with Title, and Price. I'd like to be able to click something when I've sold a product and get an email or notification to reorder that product. I'm looking for a program to use with my physical photos, like framed and matted ones. Do you know any product that I can do this with? I have been looking everywhere I can, but I haven't found a good forum or place to inquire. If you could help me or direct me in the right direction that'd be great!

Thanks,
Allie

There isn't a lot of MAC order management systems about to be honest. You could always run, Parallels/Virtual Box/VMware to run windows. I know it's not the most useful solution however it is a solution.

What kind of budget are you looking at out of interest?

Just had a look around for specific software for selling photos and came across the following:
http://www.ktools.net/ (external link)
http://www.stockboxphoto.com/ (external link)

Stock control software such as linnworks which is a windows program currently (they are developing something for the webs so no need for installing software on a computer and it'll work with macs). This is an Order Management System, it wont go as far as emailing you when something is out of stock, but will give you a report when something is, so you can then reorder it. Or you can setup drop ship to email you, but you might as well just look in the system. Linnworks does have the capability for what you are asking, however its managing 1000's of photos that's going to be your issue. Also LW has integration with Amazon, eBay, Pixmania to name a few, so if you did want to sell on other platforms (if you just wanted to sell the frames etc). It also has website integration. (We use it at the company I work for, its good bit of software)

Can you give a little more detail into exactly the purpose?

.... blames the idealistic society we live in, a society that demands perfection however, the concept of perfection is fundamentally flawed. Once perfection is reached it is no longer perfect, since a new standard is created based on an "improved vision" of the original perfection. This creates a infinite cycle which inevitably leaves to disappointment.
