The above is a shot I took and posted in the people section of the forum. Someone suggested I could sell this shot. I'm a rank amateur. How would one go about doing that?

Thanks,
Mark

That's funny. She is my 14 year old daughter.

I guess I didn't phrase my title well. My real query is not whether it is good enough to be sold, but how one goes about selling a photo when one has never, ever done same before.

thanks
mark

Sell the shot to some absurd tabloid magazine. They will run it on the cover as "Demi Moore in her backyard pool."

I'm pretty sure I already saw it in the Enquirer at the market, and it said it was Princess Di . . .

the problem with selling images will be that you need to know the market and why to plug the image, A lot of the stock agencies often want 100's of pictures as a minimum submission before they accept you.
Maybe you could try some woman magazines or hair dressing magazines.
The freelance Photographers Handbook list lots of agencies and magazines and the type of image they accept, but thats UK market may be a US equivalent.
If digital what the size of the photo at 300DPI often the filesize /pixel size will also determine market. or Negative or slide ?

EDIT:
Maybe a pool manufacturer / supplier /retailer
