EF lens manual CD

An EF lens manual CD is included with some lenses . Has anyone gotten a new lens with it ?
Is it any good and just a " we are great CD " ?
The salesman was not sure if it was in box- said he did not want to open box - which probably meant the shipping department may be in another building - but I have found it hard to repack stuff in same box . Anyway , if not there should I push for it ?
Yesterday I orderedthe 70-200 mk II IS with a 7D and a grip+1 battery .

would it get you better pictures? if not, then I wouldn't bother...


some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I don't know what's on it . I do buy books on photography for that reason . That is also what I am asking .
