That was my question.

Its a pretty easy free-climb if there are enough lower limbs. They work just like ladder rungs, provided there is not excessive decay.

That tree looks like it might have some weak limbs though.

But I like the photo.

The whole tree was weak. It was wiggling around. Sick friend of mine!!
