While I've been enjoying my XT the viewfinder seems particularly small. Also from time to time I have some difficulty telling if I'm in focus in Manual. Would I benefit from one of the other diopter adjustment that you can buy?

No perscription. I've still got pretty good eyes. I was wondering if I would still benefit with another diopter.. but I'm not sure which one I would need. I can see it fine... just wish it was a little bigger.

The camera already has a diopter built in. Canon 5D2 20D & 300D 50mm f1.8 mk 2, 24-105 f4 IS L

Then definitely a diopter is NOT what you need. The diopters or dioptric adjustment that comes with the camera allow a near-sighted user to operate the camera without glasses. It doesn't make the image in the viewfinder larger. Bob
