First Attempt at HDR

First time with HDR, used photomatrix and tonemapping.
Imported RAW files directly in to Photomatrix.

Not sure these lend themselves to HDR very well. Seems that the tonal range is not enough to warrant HDR. The 2nd image has a large highlight blowout behind the building.

I think portrait orientation makes the second one a much better shot than the first, but I agree that HDR doesn't seem like an appropriate technique for this subject.

It looks like there is some CA around the edges of the towers. And it must be pretty extreme to be visible at this size. May I ask which lens was used?

I used a sigma 18-250mm lens at 18mm. This was the widest I had at the time.
