I've read few threads here about a background light and mostly they are discussing studio lights.
Currently I'm looking into a mobile setup with strobes, couple of umbrellas and a background light.
I have 580ex II, 430ex and was looking into a background/hair light.
One of the considerations was to use either one of the Yonguo flashes, such as YN-460II ($66.99 on Amazon) or Canon Speedlite 270EX, which is twice as much($139 at Newegg)
Can you make any recommendations?

Thank you.

How are you triggering these lights? If you are using the canon wireless system you might want to stick with a canon flash. If you are using radio triggers and manual exposures the YN would work. Dont get the 270, its not a good value for your use.

I'm triggering them with Yonguo rf-602 flash triggers. They were pretty reliable for me, plus I can't really afford pocket wizards just yet. :(
