Shot a bunch this weekend. My son's u-7 team, a girls u-9 team and my older son's u-9 team. With only 2 weeks of games left, I am a little sad.

But wrestling practice starts the 15th and matches 2-3 weeks later. So I'll be posting a lot of wrestling shots in the next month or so.

All of these were shot with the 1d Classic and the Sigma 100-300 f4. ISO as 200 and exif should be on the flickr page. More to shoot this weekend.

Let me know what you think of these.

Thanks

Scott

Those are really good shots. They have that canon 300 f2.8 look to them with the grass beneath the players tack sharp.

I wish he would score like Gretzky. Poor kid has not won a travel game in 2 years. That is my oldest btw and my middle boy is in the red.

Switched to a 1d classic body from my 20d. What a difference. Focus is fast and locks on and stays on. Huge difference. I don't know if I will go back to my 20d unless I am shooting wrestling and the light is really poor.

I can only wish for a 300 2.8. The wife would KILL me if one of them showed up on the end of my camera. Maybe someday.........

The Sigma 100-300 is a solid performer for me. Use it for all outdoor sports and it simply performs for me. Every time. Love all my SIgma glass.

I think my wife would make me move into a tent in the backyard if a 300 2.8L resided in my camera bag!

10-4 on the moving to the back yard. My wife got that look in her eyes when I mentioned how nice it would be to have a 5D Mark II so I know the feeling.
