Seconded.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I have quite a few extra domain names registered.

memoriesoftomorrow.com
memoriesoftomorrow.com.au
memoriesoftomorrow.co.uk
perthweddingphotographer.net
perthweddingphotography.net
internationalweddingphotographer.net (I just registered that 5 minutes ago)

All are domain aliases to memoriesoftomorrow.net. Not forwarders, redirects or framed offerings.

This means that as far for SEO I have opened up a whole range of possibilities as the last three are massively important on a keyword basis. For example my home page URL can read as http://www.perthweddingphotographer.net …ngphotography/aboutus.asp (external link)

I gotta be honest..if I was googling for a photographer and those links came up, I wouldn't click on any of 'em. They're too generic, IMHO. I'd rather click links that are obvious business names and not keyword spam urls.

My business name (brand) "Memories of Tomorrow" gets searched for a lot. Whatever you opinion may be I am now getting over 10,000 unique visitors per year so I'm doing something right. Incidentally the variations on memoriesoftomorrow are purely to catch those people who look for a .com or any of the other variations by accident.

As for the others I have only recently registered them and am looking to see how they change the search rankings. Given that Google uses the title tag as the listing name and that my title tags are not spamming with keywords. i.e. "Perth Wedding Photographer | Memories of Tomorrow Photography | Peter Adams". The line that normally follows this in Google listings is the description tab in my case being "Memories of Tomorrow Photography is run by Peter Adams, a Perth based Australian and International Wedding Photographer". Both of these things would suggest to anyone looking at the listing that it is a legitimate business, which of course it is.

At the end of the day if the additional URL's cause the site to rise to the 1st page of Google for the search terms "Perth Wedding Photographer" or "Perth Wedding Photography" then I will be perfectly happy if the odd person doesn't follow the link because of the name of the URL. The people who will follow the link from potentially making page 1 for a city of over 1.5 million people far outweighs the prospect of not gaining that exposure in the first place.
