If the focal range is good for you, you should like it... MiaKai wrote in post #11260942 I've heard good things. Anyone have one? I need a good walk-around. I used it as a walk around at times I felt I needed more reach-indoors and outdoors. 5D MKIII, 16-35L f/4 IS, 24-70L II, 70-200L II f/2.8 IS, 100-400L II, 430 EX III

I need a good walk-around. truly amazing sharpness, sharper than the 24-105L I tried, very, very sharp on APS-C (on FF it can get a little rough at the far edges and corners though, although with my copies the 24-105L did even worse there)

I had it three times and traded it off to fund other things. I had one copy of it (the only one made in China) that I thought was sub par. The others all did well. I had one copy that was outstanding; sharp, quick focus, good low light performance (I sold it to get a 50D, BIG mistake).
