I had to do a double take when I drove by this scene sitting beside the highway. The accident report that I found states that a train with some empty grain hoppers backed up too far on a siding and got out onto the main rails just in time to be rear ended by BNSF 793 doing 50 MPH.

The accident report states just minor injuries. They had to be bounced around pretty good from the looks of this and the fact that it slid over on its side.

I suspect a wee bit of physics might factor in to that. I imagine that will be razor blades in a few weeks.
