IDImager customer support? Don't count on a one man operation

After searching for an archiving and keywording solution for some scanning electron microscope images I chose IDImager and bought the Pro version for $140. Soon after purchasing (I did download a trial and used it for 3 weeks with no issues) the program stopped responding at startup. I would get the splash screen and then nothing happened.

I sent an email to IDImager customer support and after three days heard nothing, not even an automated reply telling me my request had been logged. I sent another email and a day later I got an email from the developer with some suggestions, he apologized for the delay and said my email had been overlooked. After several back and forth emails I got it up and running again and used it for more than 2 weeks. I didn't use it for 5 days and then the same problem happened again. I sent another email to customer support last Friday and as of today I have heard nothing.

The program is quite nice if you are looking for a cataloging solution without a raw processor or much image processing capability. But it has now become clear that it is a one man operation that is unable to support its customers with even a minimal level of help. If you're considering IDImager beware, if you have problems you're pretty much on your own.
