can someone pls identify this huge spiderr i found.

I found this huge spider in my hotel room in staying at in upstate NY. Could someone pls tell me what kind it is, and is it dangerous? (do these bite?) Thanks in advance. Sorry for the bad shot.

Looks like a wolf spider. They're all over North Carolina. That's a little guy though, as I've had ones in my garage that were bigger than my cell phone and actually made a thud when hitting the ground. AFAIK, not dangerous though, but they are FAST.

I actually think it is a grass spider which are not venomous, where as a wolf spider is not lethal it is venomous and can cause swelling and redness and pain. here is a nice spider identification page you can see the different markings http://www.termite.com​/spider-identification.html (external link)

Agreed. Looks like a Wolf to me; fast as hell, and huge...but only dangerous to other things you'd rather not share a room with. :)
