Sorry, I never tire of them as a subject. I'm not a rider myself, but I just find them fascinating and beautiful.

What is that she's wearing on her head? Is her tail also wrapped in something? Witness protection program or something?

edit: Fine picture by the way.

The head is covered to protect from the bites of black flys and the tail is wrapped so that the ends don't split. This horse is going to be shown in 2 weeks.

Funny I would think of witness protection program for horses before I would think of black flies. Besides, I thought Minnesota had the entire worlds population of black flies; at least it seemed so last time we were there. Best of luck to your four legged friend in the show.

Paul. this is quite a nice stable you have access too. These are all very nice show horses that you post images of. It is very cool that they get to be out on pasture--and not cooped up in the barn all day. And BTW--your images of the horses, I think are getting better and better!
Hopefully, after the fly season is over, you can go back to getting some head shots minus the bag on the head!;)

Sorry we can't see the chestnuts face, but it has a lovely body. Nice picture as well. The pasture makes the picture - the green grass against the red horse
