I put a feeder up last week, and the house sparrows are starting to come, hopefully some others join soon, and stay a bit closer. (there is a nearby tree but they tend to fly back to this bush a bit further away instead, I guess they are not comfortable being as close to me as the tree is)

i remember putting the feeder up for the first time in years last spring. i remember my first visitors and how excited i got again about watching my little birdies. yes, they, too, were House Sparrows. but, i didn't care....i had birds again!

i like your composition here. bird in the bush is sometimes better than bird on a stick...lol. now, if you only strive for bird in the hand, i think that outranks two in the bush, right?

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.
