Don't get me started on the 350 grip.
I ordered mine two weeks ago and still havn't seen it, the place I bought it from said there was a UK shortage, funny how nearly every other shop has shelves full of them. Grrrrrrrrr

I like the 350D without the grip. I didn't buy a small camera to make it artificialy big !

Do you buy extra big grip things for your mobile phones, too ? :D

I bought mine for three reasons.

I don't trust the tripod insert in the bottom of the 350 so I would rather stuff the grip than the camera body.

The ability to fit the unordinary AA batts if I am away from a charger.

I could not afford a 20D.:D

I was speaking about the hand strap though. =)

I was just curious were the hand strap hooks on? I would assume it goes between the top right of the camera(looking from behind) and down to the battery grip on the same size. Does this get in the way for vertical shots?

What hand strap? does the grip come with one or do you buy it seperate?

It is separate. I actually have the 20D but the concept is the same.

im also looking into getting a grip because like someone else said i didn't have enough money for a 20D and this way i can still take it off and have a compact camera i can take anywhere.
when you buy a grip you don't have to epoxy it on you know ;)
can't wait to get one...
post some pictures of the xt with the grip for us grip seekers :) please...

Soupdragon, I don't suppose the place you ordered your grip from was WarehouseExpress.com?

I ordered various items from them but had very poor service and no communication. They seem to put a lot of effort into their advertising and not much on keeping the customer happy.

I've tried cameraworld.co.uk and, although the Sigma 10-20 lens was out of stock there as well, they rang me straight back to tell me so - unlike WarehouseExpress, who didn't tell me anything until I rang them.
