Phamter, you are accused of product placement :)

IMHO this is a great idea and technically is extremely well executed. It is the small details the make me cringe.
I am not too sure if this was a senior shoot, or your personal work, but...

For a senior photo - this is aswesome!
For a shoot where you could have more control over things... well...

some nit picks.

i think the ipod is not adding anything except cheesy ;)

the pose is a jump pose, but it would have been great to see her entire legs for the effect..the face expression also needs some work.

overall this looks more like an exercise, rather then a polished image.

@ Misha

It was personal work.. - and sorry my stuff doesn’t meet your expectations

Ever care to think why the feet was cut off? - one bubble maker isn’t enough to cover the full scene, so I had to shoot in closer..

Also I would like you to flip your hair in a violent way to get movement and let me know what your facial expression would be like.. do it 10 times, and check back with me about expressions..

bubbles don’t fly exactly where you want them to.. so it was probably 10 plus shots I took to get the one I liked.

To me it was a polished photo, ground breaking for me and not an exercise.. but you have a right to a subjective opinion…

I know you and I know you are very difficult to please…so keep the hits coming..

My one minor nitpick is that I think I would have liked it better if it was an iPod "proper" rather than a generic MP3 player/phone (since it appears that you were going for the white earbud look).

Other than that I think you've done a fabulous job here...

it was the model's phone.. an andriod samsung galaxy X Fascinate.. and it was her ear buds.. which is apple's ear buds..

i brought a huge DJ type head phones, but it was way too big..

i wasn't trying to make and Ipod commercial.. though it does look like it..

i just wanted cool bokeh bubbles with some hair movement, but the way this one turned out, the flying hair, and the flying wire to the phone was perfect !

Fair enough, I thought you may have been building off of the idea, however...

@ Pham ... great job on the photo. As someone trying to learn as much as I can about photography, I want to thank you for taking the time not only to post your pictures but to explain how and why they look as good as they do. There are many, many, many other great photographers on this board but only a select few teach the way you do. Keep up the great work Pham.

@ Woods

lol, I like how your avatar gives the impression that you are talking directly to whomever you are commenting on.

+1 on Pham's attention to detail. I've seen so many posts here where many people are always asking the same questions, "what was the setup?" "what equipment did you use?" etc.
