First game I've shot with the new 70-200 2.8 IS mk2. Any C&C welcome.

Fantastic action around the net. Images are nice and crisp and colors look good. I'd love to seem them 1/3 stop brighter, that's about it.

Excellent stuff! A little boost in contrast would SNAP 'em! Wicked, wicked stuff!

when I shoot under artificial light, I almost always add a 5-10% opacity soft light layer to the edited image and you get a nice color and contrast pop all at once. give it a shot and see what you think.

The guy in the paid shirt and company are very interested in the game. Looks like some intense coloring going on in #2 and who knows what they are looking at in #3.

Great shots...I think I find the people in the background distracting

At least the kid with the hot dog is paying attention to the action.. the NHL shots I see where people are playing with their cell phones and the action is right in front of them makes ya wonder sometimes

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll boost the EC next game and see how things turn out, since I don't really want to shoot lower than 1/400.

I didn't do too much to these, just some sharpening and NR is ACR, boosted contrast +5 and changed the picture style.

Deveraux,

I'm interested in checking out an Ice Hogs game and taking some photos, but I noticed they have a 3" or less lens length requirement. Do they enforce it or is there typically no issue?

IIRC the rule is 6", which I've gotten yelled at for having a hood on my 135L (4.4" length), so yeah, its a pain now for the casual fan.

Great shots!

Is it just me or does the Moose player's skin in #1 look a bit green?

135L is exactly the lens I'd be trying to use so I'd be ok then. My Dad uses a 70-200 f/2.8 Nikon so he'd still have troubles.
