Wicked, wicked stuff! -M when I shoot under artificial light, I almost always add a 5-10% opacity soft light layer to the edited image and you get a nice color and contrast pop all at once. give it a shot and see what you think. Great shots...I think I find the people in the background distracting At least the kid with the hot dog is paying attention to the action.. the NHL shots I see where people are playing with their cell phones and the action is right in front of them makes ya wonder sometimes EOS 7D Sigma 70-200 F2.8 (1.4 extender outdoors) are the workhorses. 50D for backup, EF 70-300MM USM f/4-5.6 IS, Freelance photographer for local newspapers and my website viewthroughmylens.net

Nov 12, 2010 13:53 | #7 Thanks for the tips guys. I'll boost the EC next game and see how things turn out, since I don't really want to shoot lower than 1/400. www.ReicherStudios.com

Do they enforce it or is there typically no issue? Dave IIRC the rule is 6", which I've gotten yelled at for having a hood on my 135L (4.4" length), so yeah, its a pain now for the casual fan. -Chris

My Dad uses a 70-200 f/2.8 Nikon so he'd still have troubles.
