Great shots! Looks like good light there. I think that show will be on my agenda for next year.

well I have a new pride and joy from this airshow. I caught the water vapor build-up around the F/A-18 Super Hornet as it approached the speed of sound. He hit mach .969 and then backed it off...I've tried to catch this one before but it's eluded me until now, and I finally got it!

Very nice. I didn't notice the dust specs until they were pointed out by others. The 100-400L is known as a vacuum for dust. I have one and know.

thanks for the tips on the dust specs, these are just prelims, haven't had time to play with photoshop yet and actually edit.

thanks again for the iso tips.

I stopped by after wandering about like a fool looking for a tent that displayed the 455th TFS on it, and never seeing anything lol. Finally found it at 11 am and was informed you had just taken off moments earlier with a lawn chair to find a spot to enjoy the airshow.

Shucks, sorry I missed you!

Thanks for stopping by at least - I actually left to go drive some things around, and had a friend show up - maybe next time!

Nice shots of the F-15. With the Raptor program canceled, they better hang around for a while.

Nice shots from this show ,and it was a good show for sure the light is always good . The dust spots are on the sensor..... obviously ,personally I dont think dust can enter the lens(100-400) and make their way to the sensor all the while having to pass thru the lens elements its just not feasable .Like Adamsti said ISO was to high and also noticed shot at F11 if theres dust on the sensor they will show up ,the more than likely cause is changing lenses out on the field in the open air ...I wasnt there with you but from past experience thats usually what happens.

A little L goes a long way.
