I have been putting together a series on remote cameras. Since that can be a huge topic here at times, I thought I would share it with you all.

Baseball (external link)

Basketball (external link)

Remotes Using Paul C Buff Cybersyncs (external link)

Other sports coming soon.

Feel free to let me know if you want to know about any kind of sport remote or remote basics.

Some good info Dave. Why did you go with Cybers over PWs? I was going to be selling my Skyports so I can do some remote triggering and was going to go with PWs but the price of the Cybers look pretty good.

Danny,

I had the cybersyncs prior to my multimaxx's when i need to do consecutive shots, I go with my pocketwizards, but when shooting with strobes or when i wont be using the remote as much, I just throw my cybersyncs on.

The cybersyncs dont do multiple consecutive shots like pocketwizards. It is one push of a button for every shot, while with the PW, you can hold down the button and it will fire.

I've tinkered around w/ using a remote camera w/ the PW IIs and they worked great. I am going to pick up another body to use as a remote behind the soccer goal in the Spring season. Thanks for posting the info, Dave.

Can you list me your set up with the alien bees?

(models, mounting, triggers?)

I'd like to get into using strobes, but have no idea where to start.
