Remembrance Day - Mynarski's Lancaster

A very well attended Remembrance Day service held at the Canadian Warplane Museum on Thursday included the traditional fly-by of the Lancaster.
First time I've seen her fly directly overhead catching me off guard, and she completely filled the frame!

VERY NICE. I had a Harvard fly over the house around noon on Thurs, but none of the other planes used for the ceremonies came my way.

It's a real treat being so close to Hamilton and being able to see the Lanc fly numerous times a year. There were plans for a bomber formation flight with the B-25 Mitchell and I was a little disappointed when I saw that she was inside the hanger when we arrived. The Lancaster still puts on a fine show by herself!

Isn't that the truth! The museum has a spitfire as a static display and apparently there's a plan to get her airworthy. It would be thrilling to see a formation of the Lanc, Mitchell & Spitfire.

Thomas, great name (my 5 yr old is a Thomas)! Do you ever shoot up at the museum? I was hoping to have a POTN meeting up there this summer but I was too busy. Maybe in the Spring before the summer busyness starts.
