Hi

As the Hensel Ringflash is the same as the Elinchrom but a lot less money - has anyone found an adapter to use the Hensel on a Ranger Quadra ?

Thanks

Simon

HI Simon,

I don't have experience with either ring flash but I believe that Brendan (mumbles) does have some good info and has been down this road.

Perhaps he can chime in or you can send him a PM.

Thanks - but he is using the Elinchrom ringflash - I was wondering if you could fit the Hensel one which is the same and cheaper to an elinchrom pack

I realised the ringflash modifiers from Hensel fitted the Elinchrom - but was just trying to save a few ££ with the flash itself :)

Perhaps I've missed something but, if you're planning to use the ringflash on a Ranger Quadra, why not just wait for the new Elinchrom ECO ring which is designed specifically for the Quadra and which will be much cheaper than either the current Elinchroms or the Hensel?

The new one is a possibility ...... but not the same power output

The power output only depends on the generator you're using. A Ranger RX ring flash will also be limited to 400Ws when used on the Quadra.

No, it's rated for the full 400WS. Have a look 5:00 into this video:
