Here is another.

This pattern is fished wet - commonly called a 'Brown Bomber'. Standard Brown Bomber has black chenille, brown hackle, red quill - this variant has grey-grizzly hackle, yellow quill.

Viewing this image in DPP, the colors are brilliant and the hi-lights on the vise are quite bright. Viewing this image in browser (Firefox), after being uploaded to my web-site, the colors appear muted/dull - hi-lights are dull. Any ideas as to the cause? How does it appear to you?

I think it's your color profile...or lack of it:

Kurt:

Thanks for info - perhaps this will begin to lead me in the right direction to correct this issue.

Below are two more versions of the same image.

#1 is the output from Zerene, but before applying the G'Jim signature block using PhotoImpact X3.

#2 is a single image, no PP except for converting to JPG and re-sizing for forum.

Using the link that you provided, I get this warning on both of these images:

~~~
WARNING: Embedded color profile: “Z009”
All Windows web browsers (except Safari) and many Mac web browsers ignore an embedded color profile, meaning users of those browsers will see the wrong colors for this image.
STRANGE: The embedded color profile differs from the metadata tags (sRGB (EXIF:ColorSpace)).
~~~

I have 'sRGB' set as the color-profile in DPP. I do note that I have dull/muted colors when viewing in PhotoImpact, but the same image looks great when viewing in DPP.

I have sent files to print companies and the prints come back looking every bit as I expect them to (I specify NO color-corrections when ordering prints).

Something very strange goin' on here - assistance greatly appreciated.

I may not respond right away, going to be away from home-office until sometime tomorrow afternoon.

G'day, Nice work again, I'm assuming that these flies are getting tested whilst your away LOL. I noticed that you kept the barbs intact on these. I hope that your rod bend often!!

Regards, Dutch

Dutch, the barb is bent down, disabled, on this fly also. Probably doesn't show very well as it is covered by the hackle.
