Saturdays are slow here, but I caught what I wanted (unfortunately, 767's are the biggest we get during this time of the year).

They were landing on 07, so up near that giant golf ball looking thing, lol. There's that little area along the road there where you can pull over. Parked there and walked down to where the fence dips down to road level. Kind of hard to see arrivals from Dash 8's and other little regional jets, but departures are pretty good. 007 wrote in post #11282538 You don't show any long lenses in your signature .. what did you use to shoot?? The 70-200. I'd like to think we can get pretty close to the runways here in Ottawa compared to other airports. If they're coming in on RWY 25 (which is the flip side of what I was taking these on), the 70-200 is perfect. Sometimes I even wish I had a little less than 70. A 70-300 would be pretty much perfect here. | Canon 7D | 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS | 70-200 f/4L IS | 1.4X II TC |

Though I've never shot airplanes before. I used to take flying lessons at OAS. They use runway 22. IIRC, you can capture some decent angles from the parking lot there. Pretty sure they wouldn't allow it though. Ash ~ Flickr
