Down and Dirty for you

Well I got very wet and dirty trying to get these today lol. Last time I posted some Golden-Headed Cisticola shots it was the back of a male and the front on shot was too distant I think folks said. Well it can be hard to sneak up on such tiny birds lol but I saw one today and did my best to get some closer captures for you to enjoy.

This time it was a Female GH Cisticola and I loved every minute of it. Was wonderful weather out this morning.

Yes, #1 my preference. but both are fine shots. What lens was this?

Thanks for the comments Bald, Art and Dale65bama. The lens I used was the Sigma (Bigma) 50-500mm DG. Both shots were handheld.

1st capture was 500mm-f/9-1/640 at iso 400.
2nd capture was 500mm-f/10-1/1000 at iso 1600.

I think I might just have to get me one of them there Bigmas too

Very nice capture. A very lovely bird.

Both shots are very nice here but the second one is a little bright on the breast feathers the first one get my vote because of that. Nice pose on both and compositons are perfect.

Sweet, sweet shots! The legs on the 2nd one make the pose terrific... great job!
