The scenes are lovely, but you've got some weird artifacting in both (left side of first, right side of second) and the horizon could use some leveling... it's a neat scene, though.

andy r has it almost right, ofcourse the sky has more to offer in 1, but the bottom just doesnt have anything intereseting past the umbrellas, keeping it tight around the crowd as in 2, works better

Looks like Ein Gedi....In Israel, near Masada...

I was there in 1993 and 1997.

Agreed that it's a nice shot! I have a great picture of the sun rising over the mountains of Jordan from atop Masada. I'll have to see if I can "dig it up" :-)
