i like the second one better, the colors do it for me

The scenes are lovely, but you've got some weird artifacting in both (left side of first, right side of second) and the horizon could use some leveling... it's a neat scene, though.

I like the first one more because the sky is beautiful

Fabulous captures, ideal would be the processing of no2 with the sky of the first.

andy r has it almost right, ofcourse the sky has more to offer in 1, but the bottom just doesnt have anything intereseting past the umbrellas, keeping it tight around the crowd as in 2, works better

Looks like Ein Gedi....In Israel, near Masada...

I was there in 1993 and 1997.

Agreed that it's a nice shot! I have a great picture of the sun rising over the mountains of Jordan from atop Masada. I'll have to see if I can "dig it up"

Besides the small nits that have already been pointed out these are 2 great images.
