I will shoot a lingerie model at a hotel room and have two Adorama Flashpoint 620s with two umbrellas and one small softbox.. some poses will be the model standing and others lying down on the bed, so I need strong even lighting - can someone advise me on a simple setup with my two lights..

thanks

I am sorry that I cannot add anything to this thread. But please make sure to post pics of said model shoot after you are done shooting. You know, so we can see how well the lighting set up worked. Thanks in advance.

Even lighting's not so hard, it's when you want to do something creative that it gets more difficult. My best advice is to look at a magazine that makes shots like you aim to take, and try and work out how they did it. If you can post links (non-porngraphic) we can probably help out.

Do you have a portrait photo of the model?
I'd say do 1 back light for the room, (flash) softbox as a main light, buy a reflector (they are cheap and you can get lots of use out of it) I'd recomend sunset and black maybe.. or defusers) you want her in soft light..
Go to your local magazine store, go to MAXIM, GQ etc rack - and list through them - It might give you ideas - and google something like erotic photographs (or photos)
Hope that helps

Change your view. Not your aperture.

It depends on the look you want and on the surroundings/scene.

I absolutly love the look of grids but most of the time with glamour I find myself going to softboxes because it's easy on the shadows in the face.

But it all depends on YOUR look, there are no real rules.
