The wheel looks sharper than his head does. Can you switch focus points with the 550D?

I like the way the light brings attention to his head. A slightly higher angle would have removed the distracting background at the top. And I'd probably have aimed a bit more to the right.

I would use portrait instead of landscape, and get a little closer to the dog...just my thoughts.

Unfortunately she is a hyperactive dog and this was one of few times she actually sat still.
I couldnt get any closer as she thinks the camera is a toy and she loves chewing toys.lol

She is not my dog. She belongs to my Brother. I just happened to have my camera on me when she was running around playing with her wheel.

Pet photography is rough some times especially with a hyperactive client. It is a nice photo and with those few adjustments mentioned would have enhanced it.

Thanks for comments. I will make a point of the background next time I try this. I actually photoshopped a pair of legs out from near her head. It was the only way to get her to stay still. The low angle is because as soon as I stand or appear taller than her she stands and strats to chase you. LOL
